THE SUBURBS

Matthew lived around the corner, growing up. Even though neither of us live here anymore, he visits his girlfriend and I visit my parents. He used to be a trouble-maker, stealing balls from the tennis club.  Often he'd run up to our front door, knock, and run away. Now he's just a handy guy- fixing my car.

TRIP ANNIVERSARY

Rewind: exactly one year ago I was visiting Sonja in Munich- the visit lasted 6 months in total (she's quite
a force). I decided to celebrate this fact by developing some film I found lying under my bed. See flickr.

The story behind this photo: It got so cold and I couldn't even afford to buy a beanie because of all
the German beer I bought instead. I was feeling a bit like the little match-stick girl or Edith Piaf when
my friend Matthew sent me a crocheted one in the post, all the way from Cape Town.

YEE-HAH

I put up some more pics of Lara's farm on flickr . This was April, I've been lazy
with processing film. Alright, I've been broke. Unfortunately, there is no photographic
evidence of the easter-egg hunt we had in the desert, since I was focused on getting a
lot of chocolate into my basket- call it survival.
